Some people will agree with me that it doesn’t always come without stress setting up Wi-Fi hotspot on your android phone for the purpose of sharing your phone’s data connection with another device; something like a PC or say a tablet. Personally, I see it much better to simply tether your phone over Wi-Fi compared to using a cable, as it is even possible to have multiple devices connected when such demands arise.

For years now since I know Android, I have been well acquainted with its Wi-Fi hotspot functionality. This I must say is quite dependent on either the kind of smartphone you have or the your carrier per say. Thus there might be variety in the way it works across different phone models. In this tutorial, we will show you how you can set up a Wi-Fi hotspot on Samsung Galaxy S7.
So let us begin with the procedures of enabling Wi-Fi hotspot on the S7
To start with, launch the Settings app either from your app drawer or from your home screen. Good, next you will have to tap Mobile hotspot and tethering. When you are done with this, you will have to click on Mobile hotspot, hitting the toggle which you can see from the top of the screen.

Alright, so if you have followed the procedures well, in the quick settings area, you will now find a shortcut.
What you need to do is swipe down from the top of the screen so you can view quick settings and notifications.
Do vega you see Mobile hotspot? Okay if you don’t, simply swipe down so you can see all quick settings. If you want to make changes to the position of quick settings shortcuts, just click on EDIT, after which you can drag mobile hotspot to your choice position.

So now the next thing is to configure your Wi-Fi hotspot
In the case where you have not done this before, I mean if you have not used the Wi-Fi hotspot feature before, you could choose to customize the password and even the network name, you could also make changes to other settings.
You can also click MORE appearing at top right corner of the screen; at the Mobile hotspot menu.
Click on Timeout settings when you want to make your choice of the duration the phone will wait before it turns off the hotspot, that is when it is connected to nothing.

You can also click Configure Mobile hotspot when you want to choose your password and Network name. Let me add here that password introduces ease to typing complex passwords.
